FOUND3R FIVE: Autumn DC Vibes and "CRYPTO" Still a Brand Problem
gm gm FOUND3Rs, David All here with a FOUND3R FIVE for your scrolling-and-tapping pleasure.
Be sure to RSVP for our *first* online networking event next Friday. And as always, reply with an update on what's happening in your Web3 world! New jobs, promotions, product launches, etc. What should be on our radar!
1. IT'S AUTUMN IN WASHINGTON, DC AND "CRYPTO" STILL A BRAND PROBLEM 🍂
The air is chilly and wet, and you can smell pumpkin spice everywhere. Imagine being in a room with a warm fireplace, surrounded by books bound in leather, sipping red wine, and feeling cozy. You reach for the Washington Post, flip to the editorial section and read this headline, "REGULATING CRYPTO MIGHT END IT. AND THAT'S JUST FINE." Like me, you might shake your head reading the article, stumbling over all the inaccuracies and misinformation. As a classically-trained communications professional, it's hard to imagine the WaPo editorial board this far off base. I posted my response to the editorial last night; you might repost on Linkedin and X to spread the word. Write your own response and share the link with me. When I said four months ago that we need to shift the narrative' in Washington, DC this is the kind of thing we need to be tackling head on and why FOUND3R exists. This is a branding and communication problem and it is YOUR stories in Web3 that change the hearts-and-minds of folks here in DC!
2. BREWING CONNECTIONS with FOUND3R ☕️
In the spirit of togetherness, and to meet the number one request of our members, we're bringing the community together for an online networking event next Friday. This event will be a chance for YOU to share a few words about what you're working on in Web3 and to provide some feedback on our new website, FOUND3R.org. This event is free for community members to attend and will be curated with folks we know and trust personally. The purpose of this event is for you to build your small business and cut through the noise to reach an influential audience that will listen. RSVP now, space is limited and curated by hand.

4. FOUND3R RELEASES ONE-PAGER 📄
In recent weeks, I've spent time reflecting and crafting a strategy for FOUND3R. What's our direction? Why do we matter? Who are we, really? I'm setting up one-on-one meetings with advisors and potential board members now to hit the ground running in 2024. I've condensed everything into a one-page document. I'd really appreciate it if you could read it and share it with important people in your network.
